Status i shared in facebook today:

Ive always been (weirdly) interested in the events of 9/11, i was one that never believed conspiracies. That people who believed in the conspiracies were doing so because they couldnt believe the horror that happened that day.

Ive recently watched a documentary on Netflix, which has completely changed my mind. IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB, A COMPLETELY HORRIFIC PLAN USED FOR PERSONAL GAIN, to create horror, fear and belief that a war on terrorism had to start. Without goin into further detail on here, i advice every person with Netflix or not. To watch

    'Zeitgeist'

I promise you it will change your view on life and the people who control it.

PLEASE SHARE THIS POST SO PEOPLE CAN SEE IT. Ive never felt so passionate about something in my life, people need to see this film.

I just want to say thankyou to the makers of this film. You have changed my life forever. I now KNOW the truth and i am no longer ignorant to what has been going on for years.

Welcome to The Zeitgeist Movement. If you liked the Zeitgeist documentary then you should carry on and watch the next work in the series, Zeitgeist: Addendum. That's the real eye-opener. Don't get too hung up on the conspiracy stuff, 9/11 is really just a footnote in the much bigger story told by Addendum. The best thing about Addendum is that unlike most social commentary films, Z:A actually points out a sweeping, global-scale solution to most of the dysfunction in our society. On this forum you're in the company of a lot of people who think that solution would work, and we want to make it happen.

I could go on at length about a guy named Fresco, and the Technocracy school of thought he comes from, and The Venus Project, but it's really much simpler if you just go watch Z:A and see it for yourself. If your brain lights on fire, congrats, you 'get it'.

Hi djstrobe! glad to hear the first Zeitgeist film opened your mind. just to add on what Dev already said, the actual movement is not about the first film but it starts with the 2nd, "Zeitgeist Addendum" and then continues with the 3rd, "Zeitgeist Moving Forward". They are also on Netflix and youtube. so the movement was only founded after the first film and only based on the 2nd and 3rd films. Addendum focuses a lot on the financial aspects of our current global programs and then offers solutions. The 3rd and last film starts out with focusing on human nature or what it really means and how it really applies and then continues with more about our idiotic financial system and also offers solutions and what people can do make real changes. The 3rd film really just adds onto the 2nd with more answers & explanations and is overall more complete, I feel, so that I usually recommend the 3rd film out of them all. Even more detailed and updated info about the movement can be found in the movement's new book "The Zeitgeist Movement Defined" free (ebook) on the website or at cost on amazon in paperback.
911 surely was a wakeup call for many and it demonstrates all the bad in this world well but if we want to turn things around we have to ask ourselves what's going on and WHY are things so bad?! the short answer is: it's our current system that is based on money and the free market, that promotes a dog eat dog world. Ok if I don't stop myself right now i'll write a whole book about it here lol just watch the other two documentaries to have your jaw hit the floor one more time and to find out what you can do about it

Yep - It was some time after Netflix arrived in Australia that I came across the TZ Docos. Got to say it was the deciding factor to many years of unlearning dogma that I was intensely subjected to. The 1st presentation perfectly debunked religion which was my greatest hangup. I was a little slow on the uptake regarding the monetary system but got the gist of it. The second doco explained more about the economy system which I got more that time around and liked how they finished off with religion once more. The third doco is not currently on Netflix here in Australia - Not Yet ... that one I tracked down on Youtube and thought it was icing on the cake. I was in awe of the third presentation. It really drove home on all the points that came before it. I am now inspired to write poems based entirely on this system that imprisons us all like so. I want to write, start up my own webpages, create Blogs, join like minded forums, organize protests on Voting days and anything else I can think of.

I am sure my passion will wane - but none the less, that is how those docos left me feeling. I am not so won over with the Venus Project. I was let down after visiting their website. I left feeling it was just another scam. (like I had to be an elite citizen to fit the picture) I did not like the feel of the gift shop, the shopping bag logo, the banner photos (had a very mainstream selling feel to it) and the research team photo looked as if everyone was made to turn up for Sunday school. Looked like a dictatorship and no one wanted to be there. I can only console myself that they are advertising to people who have money to donate - however imho I think there is a compromise to such main stream retail marketing. I left lacking confidence ... It seemed to me that their proposal was pure fantasy and not intended for all world citizens, but only the fit/prime citizens.

I'm more from the less able branch and don't really have the $$$ that they require to turn their vision into reality. Again - that's the message I get after visiting their website. None the less, I am for the same vision. I am looking towards helping those on the lower end of the branch. The part where there is too much noise and plenty of misunderstandings. Not sure how to become part of this team?

Still sifting though all the information - whats expected of those who claim to call themselves part of this movement? Is there some kind of affiliation process and so on?

Will keep sifting and hopefully someone can start some dialogue with me.

    Nice to meet you all.

    Dave.

Hi Dave my name is Leonie and feel extremely similar to yourself I also would like to participate in this movement but I'm unsure as to how I can be part of it as I don't have $$$ to put towards the cause but I feel I could make a positive contribution in other ways. I would like it if we could share what we have researched together to hopefully open a doorway for both of us and anyone else with the same ideals.
