I'm definitely interested in helping out as well! I have experience with C++, C#, Java, Ruby, Python, PHP, and MySQL. I've also been researching and applying Electrical Engineering and Robotics Engineering.

Has anyone started on the framework and Maximum Preservation function? I've been thinking about starting it in C++ and making some base interfaces for these functions (ie: Design Efficiency, Production Efficiency, etc).

    Welcome Leolicos!

Your idea with the maximum preservation function sounds really interesting. I think this would obviously be a critical part of such a system, as the outputs would dictate the actions that would need to be made to conserve maximum sustainability. I would be fascinated to hear what thoughts you have.

We should really get a website going where we can store information specific to the GRI centrally and set up a meeting to get to know each other. I just sent an email to Evan so lets see if we can arrange the first meeting together.

    Best Regards

Absolutely. What do you guys think about using Wiki or Workflowy (www.workflowy.com) to organize our ideas? I really like Workflowy, I use it to organize.. my life. hah. Check it out. I'm sure we can start by writing some psuedo code on how it's supposed to work. It would probably be good to design the program first before jumping into the code.

Another aspect of the program would be the data of materials/elements: what its conducive use is, how much is currently available, efficiency measures, etc. That way, the Maximum Preservation function can query from this database (maybe named Global Resource Accounting database), to see what resources to use based on dynamic equilibrium.

    Hi all,

In the forum for the "transition", for example at An Open Letter, similar discussions have been going on which has moved on to the setup of an Open Atrium website in its formative stages of development at PSS Link Home | PSSLink and a forum exploring the specifics of the setup at Home | Forum.

The idea so far is to have a website to support the development of projects for the movement, be they projects related to software, databases, engineering, resourcing, legal such as constitutions, etc.

Would be good to see us build on what has already started unless people thing this is going in the wrong direction or their are better software solutions out there.

Open Atrium is an open source customised version of Drupal focused on collaboration using wikis and discussion threads and with a rudimentary method of task/case management.

There are a lot of people on these forums who want to see something happening and the faster we can all be directed to a place where development work is happening beyond general discussion the more empowered we shall become.

Humanity would redesign itself if we got rid of the source of it's limitations.

Is there anyone here interested in just eliminating that which causes the human race to fail at everything that it does?

Because you can lay down the best of redesign, and if that root cause of human decline persists, it will fail.

I would be happy to help with this project too if you still are up to it and think there is a good idea. There was a lot of text to read but it sounds that there already are platforms for such things. I am a programmer although and know C/C++, C#, Java and PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and database management (mySQL). This sounds much like a web project from what I understand.

@ Libertyinfinite: I am not sure how that is related. This project is not about redesigning anything, it is to organize the research TZM are doing and spread the word by letting universities use the platform. Thats how I parse the first topic anyways.

I understood this recently as, 'The greatest dissipation of power the world has ever seen, and the creation of a new language.' Power itself will be transformed into intelligent systems that don't exclude, but rather asks for the input of the people.

The development of this new language or decision making process is one of the most important things we can achieve. I believe it to be the process by which we 'arrive at decisions.'

That language itself has the potential to take the place of other decision making bodies and systems in use now. That language has the potential to take the place of government. It can take the place of the Judiciary system. It can reach down to a level of fine detail that present systems cannot get to, to find and solve for any issues that may arise in which we might either have some form of disagreement or simply in trying to determine the next step in any form of group action.

This thread and the psslink site look like they haven't been updated in about a year. I don't know if that is where it left off or if the concept has moved to another thread or site. If that is where it left off I can definitely help in providing ideas to keep things moving forward.

I can help with the language and the design and I can help with concepts about what it is and what it can do.
