Question What is the status of Global Redesign Institute?

    Hi,

GRI is mentioned in TZM Defined book, in the latest Peter Joseph talk, but it's still "Coming Soon" for quite some time now.

So what's going on? How's progress? What ideas are being implemented? How someone could contribute?

P.S. I really miss news-style blog or newsletter about TZM projects...

I am sorry but this is quite vague response.

Are there a team working on it? Any progress?

What do you mean about Peter? Are you suggesting he should dig into programming..?

The only "team" that is working on it seems to be the people in this forum section. Do not take my word for it, but I have heard that Media is handling the process, well at least you are supposed to mail to the media email address if you want to help out. Unless I heard wrong.

Just to tell the obvious: currently everyone here are working with their own projects, perhaps to show how they think that the GRI are supposed to look/work. I am still wondering how GRI actually gonna work and perhaps I am not the only one.

I have tried to find who I should contact about this project, because I am really want to help out with this. However no progress yet.

I'd like some official response, too. I could contribute mostly with Python programming (I studied it in college and I'm working professionally with it for some years now) if there would be any place for it.

Project Manager being PJ. My guess is that there is not any advancement in the project. Design concept should be the first step though

Hello, I signed up to TZM specifically to help write the code and design the system for a Global RBE ERP system. I am a professional DBA/Developer and have experience developing in Java, Python, and I also have experience with several database platforms most notably PostgreSQL. I feel any technologies used to build such a software stack should be FOSS (Free and Open Source). Is there an update for this? If not can we escalate this up the chain somehow so we can get some movement? I am still learning how the structure of TZM works. Thanks.

You should send PJ an email on peter at (the global website domain) and keep it short - he's still busy working on his latest live-action film "Interreflections" which will take months yet, but I'd be interested to hear if you get a response. This project really needs people like you to lead it by example, since PJ has general science knowledge for an advisory position but not coding experience.
Perhaps we need to organise a sprint to lay down some basic top-down design for what modules are needed in such a database, and start coding one of them. If you could get something organised with PJ, such as what type of web hosting to work with, and prepare a repository, it could be announced at Z-day 2015 (mid-March) and you could then have an influx of students on their Easter holiday to work on it.

I have only a basic grounding in software engineering from my mechanical eng. degree course, with experience in MATLAB for control systems and a brief brush with C-based microcontroller languages, but if we have some direction on a project like this, that would finally give me a reason to knuckle down and learn Python or Java, but until then I'm only working on open hardware projects, since I enjoy them.

    Great to hear from you!
