He's probably referring more to the so-called Democracy part and the issues inherent within it.

The science of global warming is out there and scientists advise but does it help? as long as there's a profit motive both democracy and science are meaningless.....

No its not what we have right now, for there's no true democracy right now. Yes the results are awful and its time for a change.

Please respond to what I say and not your assumptions on what you think I'm saying!

ok so we agree about that.
Isn't true democracy a utopia? Can you point to any time in history when they had true democracy?

A Society where there are individuals who have certain types of advantages over the others will not be conducive for a Democratic state. So I find it very difficult to be able to have a Democracy when our Societies are always riddled with various types of Imbalances & Inequalities. I think Socioeconomic Justice needs to be in place first before we can ever genuinely achieve any type Democracy.

Yes...the Iroquois Confederacy was a close example....while it lasted (as were several other Native American groups, something I've explained previously).

It remains an unfortunate fact of history...for some....that Europeans arrived around the time of its greatest expansion. The Iroquois Confederacy was admired so much by our Old pal Ben Franklin that he tried to incorporate as much of their ideology as possible into the US Constitution...(IMO, He should have kept going, but alas, he had wealthy friends with slaves)

    What is the Iroquois Confederacy?

There was a much better site that shows clearly what the American Constitution took from the Iroquois Confederacy and what 'should' have been taken, but was left behind or ignored....I Can't find it anymore....Darn Russians!!!!

There needs to be a global voting system that allows people to vote on the principles that we will live by as a global family as opposed to having presidents etc. This way the people will act as the system of government as opposed to what we have now. This eliminates the chance of a dictatorship.
