    > I would say the biggest reason why people kill is because of the lack of all the essential things that Earth provides such as food, water, land, shelter and such.
    > These are NEEDS not WANTS.

When there are 2 people living on an island with enough resources to support 2 people, these essential things are needs, not wants.

But when 4 people live on an island with enough resources to support only 2 people, these things becomes wants, rather than needs..

Unless you can figure out which 2 people to give to and which 2 to not..

This is in essence why people fight.

    Solutions welcomed !

But remember, the island has only enough resources for 2 people, you can't fudge that in your solution !

Sadly I get that feeling too. :-(

But what do we do after that ?
Ummmm....I think we're a long way from openly condemning GREED on this planet...in fact, I see GREED as the dominant motivator among the masses, continuing for as long as we can still fill up the car with gas and pick up that gallon of whatever on the ride home from some dead end job......

We've got a lot of work to do before moving on to the next step......

Music is based on love. It's not supposed to be profitable or cause comparison. It's supposed to be a tool of unification, not division.

Somehow provide people with all their basic Needs. Then they'll be able to step back and take care of themselves and soon spread to others.

But this First step still seems to inconceivable for most without some substantial support coming from of our Capitalist structure.

    Indeed !

For my retirement, so I can avoid being homeless and starving to death (Assuming I don't freeze to death first..), I need to earn myself something around $1 million !

Then I can go about helping others financially.

But it seems an almost impossible goal to reach from where I am right now, but I'm going to try, because if I don't, who else is going to !

So true...I can get behind this opinion based on a life of experience. I've been a part time/full time 'working' musician for most of my life, slowing down only within the last 10 - 12 years (many fewer Gigs these days), but what started out as a way to meet girls eventually turned into a passion and a method to bring about 'awareness' and to CONTRIBUTE to our community...

The Band we've (my wife and I) been playing with since 2002 plays about 6 or less 'paying gigs' a year and roughly double that amount in 'benefit gigs'....We're all retired so those are the one's we earnestly chase after....including a 3 month USO tour back in 2011,,,that was a hoot and a eyeopener for my band (I'm the only Vet)....but an experience we all talk about repeating somehow, some day.....not necessarily performing for the military though....??

Music is LOVE....don't tell it to the Music Industry though.....

The most intimate moments in my life were with music.... by far better than anything else even romantic love. both playing it on the guitar/piano and listening to it.
you can tell a lot about people just by looking at their music collection.

I was at my nephew's room the other day looking at his mp3 collection... oh my no Beatles, zeppelin,CCR, Neil young ,the who. and then he ask me "who's the who"? unbelievable. ok i bought him the white album to start his music education.
