Actually a resource based society is the perfect example of lack of attachment. We humans attach to things because of our experiences with scarcity. In an environment where everyone has the use of whatever they need as in transport, or any material good, or consumption of whatever they need in the case of destructible resources like food, there is no need for grasping or holding for oneself. You know that whatever you want or need is available to you at any time so you can let go of the fears that make you attach to things.
