    Free World Charter

    I stumbled across this recently:

FWC - Let's make everything free

    From their FAQ section:

    ----------------------------
    Q) Isn't this the same as Zeitgeist or the Venus Project movement?

The Free World Charter initiative was originally inspired by Jacque Fresco's Venus Project and the ideology of a Resource-Based Economy. However there are some basic differences in approach:

The Charter initiative does not propose designs or details of any future society, as we feel these can be divisive topics, and therefore a distraction to the more urgent need to simply realign ourselves with nature.

We don't think you can design a new society from the top-down. As with all natural processes, it can only happen from the bottom-up. Once we agree to follow just these few basic rules of nature, then we can allow our society to evolve whatever way it wants to go.

We are not interested in large projects, activism or fund-raising. The Charter is simply a passive means for people to demonstrate their support for a nature-based ethos that moves slowly, firmly and positively in one direction only.

We do support both Venus and Zeitgeist, but are not affiliated with either of them. If you are a member of either organisation, then we would invite you to sign The Free World Charter too.

Yes they are one of the many Groups who align with the NLRBE message.

They have been mentioned here before and are known by a lot of TZM members.

Ah, thanks, guess I should have used the search function to spot that:

    Free World Charter

I notice their forums no longer appear to be active, I wonder what happened to them ?

Agreed; there are many groups and individuals working toward the same end, that promote a 'one world' concept, that tries to correct false and ancient premises....that believes in Sharing the wealth provided freely by our planet..

My personal desire is that all of these separate groups finally come together en mass and form ONE......because although we remain on similar paths, we are divided and generally following the sounds of our own voices, which only allows us to make baby steps....but steps none the less.

Alas, the world is ready for some giant leaps....Is humanity also ready? I think we're still trying to figure that out...

The free world charter community has now evolved to freeworlder.com.

Its efforts are right now concentrated on building a web-based tool for making it easier to share services and stuff:

    Thanks.

I notice on their website it says:

    > The site is expected to launch this May, with pre-registrations open on March 1st.

I couldn't find the pre-registration part, is it not up yet ?

    Latest update:

"FW project update: Sorry guys - got a bit log-jammed with this and can't open for registrations just yet. There were some technical considerations in syncing up to old database that, while not particularly difficult, have been arduous and time-consuming. In a way it's good, because it has forced me to do a lot more groundwork than I had planned to do at this stage.

Reg's will be open in a few days. Probably won't look like much, but there's a lot going on under the hood! S'all good. "

Updates appreciated, and I quite understand that technical issues often cause delays like this.

I've been waiting days for the weather to be good enough myself so I can start building my new desk !
