In any event, some people might argue he was more of an idealist and idealism doesn't equate to reality or realism.
Another thing you have to consider is that MLK was speaking out of passion, feelings, or emotions and so of course, there might be some lack of logical reasoning or logical thought process occurring.

It's sort of like a child screaming for not getting what he/she wants not fully understanding or comprehending its infantile or perhaps inferior state, which could negatively impact the society or civilization at large.

Lack of logical reasoning or logical thought process? What the heck are you talking about? Have you EVER READ 'anything' written by MLK? Are you incapable of empathy for anyone but the 'white' man?
    ******

Hmmmm?.....You may want to look into a mirror and repeat the words you typed above, words spoken so flippantly, words spoken without much thought at all apparently....

Look in the mirror so that at least, you better understand 'where' these words are coming from.....Just a suggestion...

    ..take it or leave it....

    Jus sayin'

I think most of the the folks who post here 'are' also posting with passion, posting with feelings and emotions.....

'Some' people who visit just 'select' to post solely to 'inflame' and disrupt ////thinking its a fun thing to do, believing 'life is like a playground'....and then deciding to be the A Hole in the crowd, seeking the attention that wasn't provided when they were a youngster...always wanting to be a DISRUPTOR...or a Fool.....But most importantly; to contribute NOTHING to the discussion at hand....

..how's that for a Snack? RU Still Hungry? ....gonna have to wait......until I feel like its Feeding Time again........

What a profoundly confused and confusing man is Molyneux....

Who cares what his take is on MLK?....

After all, His mind is decidedly bent and his purpose is to disrupt, distract, DIVIDE and inflame the population for the 'attention and the dollars' it brings him....and it's apparently working to some degree....

I know....I know.....but with all the incessant howling, they really do seem hungry, no?

TBH; It's just my feminine side wanting to nurture them is all....

I am 'trying' to focus on just the 'content' rather than 'who' posts it....not an easy task I'm afraid...all things considered.....

Thanks for reminding me where the true path is my Friend....

Was MLK a brilliant man? Or do we just want to believe he was, out of feelings, emotions?

And yes, I have read some things from MLK, even did an essay on him back in the sixth grade.

Also, I'm pretty sure he had amazing social and emotional intelligence. Maybe it might have been off the charts because he cheated on his wife.

In any event, I mean I don't know, I just assumed someone who is intelligent wouldn't have to plagiarize.

It doesn't matter if you feed the beast or not, it's still going to dump on you because you've chosen to make war with it.

All of the above and then much more. He was a Man who fought for Human Rights! And last time I checked. People are still Fighting for the Right to feel Human. Are most basic essence of what we are.

It's 2017 and we're still deciding & choosing who is worthy of being treated as a Human. It's absolutely Insane that behind all the Bigotry & Racism in the World, it's just Humans treating other Humans like they are of something Less. All this Sh*t is Made-Up & none of it is real. The things that are truly real, people like to ignore. And having to Fight for Human Rights shows us just that.

But people are just Humans and all Equally the same. And MLK understood this. He understood that Black people were no different than White people because of our shared Humanity. But he is only one of the Greats who tried but hasn't been understood by enough people yet. They don't want to or fail to grasp the meaning of it all. So he is needed now more than ever.
