As citizens of the Earth we are all entitled 'from birth' to the profits that we simply allow to be stolen or controlled by the few....

There's no reason to make this process more complex than it should......Everyone gets and equal SHARE from the start...those 'wanting' more can do it the old fashioned way and earn more....with their sweat, skills or intellect....

    KISS

I'm pro UBI as long as it's implemented in a money-less system and is truly universal - every global citizen gets all the necessities of life free of charge.
But in this system it's just more advanced form of welfare designed to save capitalism.... i don't think we want to save capitalism but to destroy it!!!

There are alternative ways to meet people other then selling them something, no?

I use to play games when i was little; mortal combat, double dragons etc... but once you're 18 please stop and do something else, i never understood the obsession for video games IMHO just a way to escape reality.
improve your reality and you won't need to escape it.

Programming is about modeling the world, information processing, efficiency, automation.... not about playing games.

Games are a very cheap (Affordable!) way to do that, as not all of us are blessed with expensive cars so we can go and travel and meet our friends who lives miles away.

I did move to a location that is least holding me back. :-)

But as more people are born, wouldn't that mean everyone's share gets smaller over time ?

Games are a way for people not to escape the Real World?

I don't play Games myself but I know if I did, it would be for exactly that. Some Escaping time ...

Games can also be a way to make friends and meet new people (Often from other countries!), and to learn and improve abilities, like say, flying a plane !

Perhaps games can be used to help people develop more cooperative skills..

Games aren't real, just pixels moving on a screen; they're isolating people more than connecting them, also diverting people from important subjects making them passive and numb.

Not if they involve even the slightest amount of competition.....In order to learn cooperative skills one must be cooperative...not competitive...imo

Games, especially professional sports, waste an incredible amount of time, resources and serve as a major distraction to the reality that WE are trashing our only world.....and also solidify our more tribalistic/nationalistic tendencies...IMHO
